Do you consider your current work a job or a career? Work. I honestly don't really want a career (hope that doesn't make me sound bad lol). >_> I enjoy working but i want to have lots of time to spend with my children while they're little.
What is your current work? I do reception + administrative assistant type things for a couple of financial advisors 4 days a week.
If you are currently a SAHM, what job or career did you have before becoming a SAHM? n/a
Do you consider your current work a job or a career? Definitely a job...not going to school for this.
What is your current work? I'm an independent contractor (which means I work at home) for a company whose main client is Google. If you are currently a SAHM, what job or career did you have before becoming a SAHM? I just worked in retail.
My work is not a job or career it is a lifestyle. I have my own studio where I teach piano/music theory & history. I spend free time practicing, photocopying, doing invoices, and scheduling .. I can't imagine doing anything else than playing the piano. I can't wait until I am retired and can spend the hours that I put into teaching for my own enjoyment of playing.
Do you consider your current work a job or a career? Teaching is definitely a job for me. There are aspects of it I'm thinking of shaping into a career like motivational speaking, youth empowerment workshops, and the like.
I want a career as a published writer/screenwriter/author-- so says the person who hasn't written in about a year.

I consider it a career until I get too old and they make me retire. I probably have another good 20 years left in the military (if I make rank quick enough). My job is aircraft maintenance but as soon as I finish my degree I'm hoping to become an officer and get a more exciting job.
After the military I want to become a nurse and make that my new career until I'm too old to work
Do you consider your current work a job or a career?

What is your current work?
i'm a restaurant assistant manager. but i technically just work in a kitchen the title is just for when i'm there alone or i'm in charge of the underlings when the boss is gone.
If you are currently a SAHM, what job or career did you have before becoming a SAHM?
i would love to be a sahm. i should have been a 50s housewife. Nate totally supports this but it's gonna take awhile to build up his career.. because he hasn't even started it yet .-. or decided what he wants to do.
Do you consider your current work a job or a career? I am currently a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner student who is entering my last year of the program tomorrow! (Provided nothing goes wrong medically and I end up on bed rest or something like that) I definitely consider this a career.
What was your previous work? I still am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and went back to work for my old company (a dialysis company) this summer when one of their SWers quit on them suddenly. I do consider SW a career since I had to get my Masters degree for it, pass several board exams and complete many years/hours of supervision. Although I loved helping people, I was only limited to their psychosocial needs and really wanted to expand my scope of practice, which is why I went back to school
Do you consider your current work a job or a career? Well considering I am a SAHM i consider it more of my passion than a job
What is your current work? SAHM and Nursing Student
If you are currently a SAHM, what job or career did you have before becoming a SAHM? I was actually a cocktail waitress and bartender in a casino I worked at Bally's for years when we lived in Las Vegas, and then when we moved to Florida I worked at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. Amazingly fun job, and fantastic money, but hard to work nights with kids and a family.
