Am I the only weirdo who is doing this?

Since I've had PPD before I will do just about anything to help prevent it after this baby. Plus I've heard it helps with postpartum bleeding, with your milk supply and many other things. It kind of grossed me out as first but I've heard nothing but great things about it! It's a little pricey but I'm hoping it's totally worth it!

I won't be doing it, but last time I got more of the depression patch after weaning my daughter when she was 2.

I hope it helps you!

Haven't looked into it but I don't think it's something I will be doing. I hope it helps you the way you want! That would be awesome if it did.

I'm looking into it. I really am considering it since I had bad ppd with my youngest.

I want to, but I'm not sure if there is anywhere around here that does it.

I'm torn on this. The idea totally grosses me out in many ways, but I'm petrified of PPD. Ugh, hard decision.

It really grossed me out at first and I thought no way would I ever do that! BUT I've never heard anything bad about it and my placenta has already been in my body so not why take it in pill form after for all the benefits? Worth a shot to me!

I think I would get PPD just thinking of having to swallow that.

I hope it works for you!

yeah I have heard of people making smoothies and that is just disgusting. But I can handle taking an extra pill along with continuing my prenatals.

while this is not a choice i would personally make i congratulate you on doing it yourself. there was a girl in my experiments class last semester who had done this, and she said it worked wonders. she said she could finally enjoy her baby while he was still a baby. i hope you have the same experience she did with this!

Out of curiosity, looked up the price. I suppose for the reported benefits $150-200 is decent. But I'm still going with exercise.

when i googled it, i got a step by step guide on how to do this yourself at home, with pictures from the author's own encapsulating process. there was no warning for the things i have seen this night.

I won't do it. I have a weak stomach and would puke (and want to now) every time I took it just from the thought. But I have heard of people doing it. Just not my thing. I've also heard of people making smoothies with it. Ick.

I've known people who eat it raw and I'm sure it would come back up if I got it down! That said, I've looked into it and I'd really like to try it. With the extra hormones and stress of twins it seems worth it. I'll be home bound with 6 children through the snow months. The whole thing is a recipe for depression! I'm surprised I'm not depressed now with how my life has come to a stand still this pg!
