i got up to go to the bathroom. then, i made myself dinner and ate it. i just got settled in bed with my laptop and some drinks. i haven't had a drink since before dinner, but i already have to pee again!!

does your bladder actually shrink during pregnancy or does it just get shoved out of the way? if it's the later i wish she would pick an organ of lesser importance, like my lungs or my kidneys. i prefer my bladder in it's original position.

i never had pregnancy issues before but this pregnancy has been all three in one.

i even try squeezing my bladder when i'm expelling fluid but as soon as i lay back down...back up i go. i don't think anyone is on my bladder bc i think this could be much worse.

I think when I stand up, the baby is sort of blocking the exit (urethra?) from the bladder so that it doesn't completely empty. Then when I lie back down she moves and what's remaining wants to come out. Then I stand up and it's blocked again. Never-ending cycle. That's my theory anyway.

It's not just pushing around, but hormones too.

I find if I am sitting up in bed, I have to go more often - lol. So, certain positions make me have to go more often.

Fight the urge to fight the urge! You don't want to age your bladder faster than normal!!

Try leaning forward when you pee. This is the first pg that I remember having to do this and its difficult with a big belly. Believe me, you want your lungs! I've got babies up under my ribs and going to the bathroom winds me to walk there. Sometimes I can't breathe just sitting here. I'm not amused!

You should go pee every time you get the urge, it cuts down on UTIs

And it's only going to get worse as your bladder gets more squished! It sucks.
