Ok girls, first time I have been able to get online since coming home. I am still having contractions, they did not give me anything to stop them. They monitored me for about 2 hours and sent me home because I didn't change from being dialated to a 3. She said that my contractions should be making me cry even though I have a high pain tolerance. The nurse was absolutely shocked she sent me home and told me to come right back if I still have them in a few hours. The doctor said not to come back til my water breaks even though they had to break my water when I had DD. I was told I will definitely have him by the end of the week and that it would probably be tomorrow but she refused to keep me. She is also a new doctor that has only been out of med school for about a month and a half, I know this because she is new to my practice.

Either way, I'm at home breathing through and trying to stick it out till shift change at least. DH plans to walk with me tomorrow morning before heading back if I can last that long. We live an hour from the hospital and my labor progressed extremely quick with my first so I'm worried about Levi! Either way I'll keep you posted!

Thank you for updating us. Must be difficult through these contractions. I can't imagine what you are going through! Thinking of you and will be checking here and supporting you. Hang in there and looks like baby Levi really wants to be here soon !!!

I can not believe they sent you home! That is so crazy. I would go back if they continue or get more painful BEFORE your water breaks. Ugh

That seems weird she sent you home saying try to keep him in another week but didn't give you any Meds to stop contractions! Hopefully you were able to get some sleep last night. I would definitely be calling back to talk to one of the more experienced doctors today if I were you!

What is up with these doctors! A friend of mine was in labor with her fourth child and the sent her home because they didn't believe her and she gave birth at home in her front entry. UGH! Hope you have better luck after shift change!

I'm still contracting but started to do things around here. So far I have cleaned my entire house and then I'm going for a walk. A friend of mine told me to take a hot bath and then go back and ask to get checked again.

Wait until your water breaks? What med school did the doc go to? TV drama med school? Because only in the movies and on TV does the water break as the first big sign of labor all the time.

Hang in there. I'd go back at shift change too, when there is a different doctor there! And all the walking is great to help you progress. I hope baby enters this world safely, happy, and healthy!

Still contracting but now I'm tired from everything I have done today so I think I'm going to lay down for a while.

Wow, that new doctor sounds a little crazy to me!

I agree about just going in and asking to be checked!

Why would they do that? "Try to keep the baby in?" Shouldn't the doctors help her with that?
