Since I have been from practitioner to practitioner, I won't be getting anything for my doctor (especially since odds are she won't even be the one at my birth). If one of the midwives shows up to act as doula, though, I may get something for her after (I did a fruit basket for the whole birth center last time and a gift card for the midwife with me most of my labor).
As for the nurses...it depends on how much they upset me - lol. Last time the cycle of nurses in the hospital when I was recovering made me grumble, so they got nothing. If I'm feeling nice when I send hubbie to get me chocolate covered caramels from Fannie May, maybe I'll have him pick something up for the nurses too. But we'll see.
I'll be doing a muffin basket and a big travel box of coffee (think box of wine!) from Tim hortons my l&d nurse friend told me they get it all the time and totally appreciate when they do get it she said .... "That does not go unnoticed!"
For the hospital staff no. But I do plan on doing something for my dr and her nurse at my pp check up. I have been thinking about an edible arrangement, that way it's coming straight from the place and no one is scared to eat it lol
I am going to make a small basket with granola bars, gum, lollipops, etc. for the nurses station. I think nurses are amazing and just want to show my appreciation since they are the ones doing all the work (well, besides me). As for my Doc...Im not sure yet. Maybe just a note. It hasn't been smooth sailing with her.
