Just outta curiosity, has anyone ever really had success with jump starting labor? Not that I'm interested, at least not until 39 weeks, but I've heard so many "options" and was curious what has and hasn't worked for people

It never worked in the past for me lol. So I'm not really holding my breath that it will this time. I'm kinda hoping it helps make my body more accepting of induction if i hit that point .

With both boys I had sweeps done and still didn't go ... So yeah literally everything failed lol

Not a single thing works. I have never tried Castor oil as it can start labor and then stall requiring intervention like pitocen to get you going again. Membrane stripping, nipple stimulation, sex, various foods, acupuncture, walking, bumpy rides, etc. Nothing worked until baby decided to come. Still with every baby I try to make myself feel like I'm doing something to help. If I'm still pg by Halloween, I'm sure I'll be sending my DH to the store for fresh pineapple and trying to evict my babies. And it won't work!

If baby is ready to come, then yes it can work. If not, it will just peter out.
