My personal necessities in my bag include:
- Phone charger
- Toiletries (I got a bunch of travel sized stuff so I don't have to lug around huge bottles)
- Baby's going home outfit
- My going home outfit
Then I'll have hubby go home and get my pillow/blanket/labor ball if I am not at home when I need to get to the hospital
Since they dont give much at the hospital here I had to pack more than average
Toothpaste, toothbrush, comb/brush and hairties, eye contacts/contact solution or glasses, light makeup (mascara/eyeliner- I look sleepy without any for pictures)
flip flops for shower, slippers
pajama to change into/ sweatpants and a shirt
nursing bra/ bra - unless you plan to wear same one you came in with, pairs of uderwear
nursing pad, lansinoh cream, maxi pads (my hospital gave me one pair and then didnt provide more- your hospital might be better)
Baby outfit, clothes to wipe down baby or for burping, swaddle, baby hat, blankie
Phone numbers of work/people to call
cell phone, camera for pictures- batteries, one laptop (for husband- i plan to use his)
That's pretty much my list, too. DH will be sent next door to the grocery store to pick up snacks, and I will have got grab my laptop, contacts and glasses, and pillow on the way out. The rest is what you said.
