Lets share how we play with out babies when they are awake
I have her do tummy time
Also make sounds and sometimes it does sound like she is trying to imitate
I turn on her mobile she likes starring at the black penguin
She likes her swing too and sometimes fall asleep in it
Lots of eye contact and talking to her, tummy time, she loves listening to music (rockaby lullabies and Bob Marley are among her favorites), and she really enjoys staring at her "friends" the little birdies on her snugabunny swing.
She mostly just watches whatever I'm doing with her sister. I wear her a lot so she does a lot of sleeping and watching my cleavage. In the evening I sing to her and let her sit and watch the Christmas tree lights. I've just started putting grabby toys in her hands and showing her some black and white art cards.
My daughter isn't even two weeks yet but I've got her started already.
Put her on her side and have her track my face until she flips on her back.
Tummy time, helping to position her arms. She's not strong enough yet but will get there.
When laying down on my legs I have her hold my fingers and move to sit with her supporting her own head. I think she loves this one. She just looks around. She can only hold her head for a second so having my legs right there I give her support.
Bought a rattle with a light on it for her to track. It's not what I expected though so going to buy another.
Making funny faces and holding position in hopes she'll imitate. She smiled a couple of times yesterday but think it was a fluke.
