I had an heart melting, proud mommy experience the other day.
I started a new job and on my first day my husband 'Facetimed' me so I could chat with the baby.
(Facetime is a cool feature where your camera phone allows you to hear AND SEE the person you are speaking with. That person can hear and see you back. It's like Skype on a phone.)
So during my facetime, Charlotte is making all sorts of noises at me and acting totally adorable. After a few minutes I end the session so I can get back to work.
When I get home husband tells me he's not sure Facetime with Charlotte is a good idea. After the session ended and the phone was taken away she had a fit and threw a tantrum. She didn't want me to go away!
The thing is that she facetimes with her grandparents almost every day. And she could care less when she sees them on the phone. We facetime for the grandparents benefit because they live far away. She'll look at them, or she'll stare at the TV- whatever she's interested in at that moment.
But she got upset after my session with her ended. Heart Melt- she recognized me and loves me!
