Where I am switching it up this month to incorporate both cardio and strength, I am going to do both miles and minutes. Miles will be just for walking and minutes will be just for toning/strength.

April Goal: 40 Miles of Walking AND 300 Minutes of Toning

1- 0 Miles/Minutes
2- 40 Minutes (Thighs, Arms/Chest, Butt, and Ab sections on 10 Minute Solutions Target Toning Video)
3- 3 Miles (Leslie Sansone 5K with a twist video)
4- 0 Miles/Minutes
5- 3 Miles (Leslie Sansone Slim and Sleek video)
6- 40 Minutes (10 min solutions target toning video)
7- 4 Miles (Leslie Sansone Ultimate 5 day walk plan - Tuesday workout)
8- 3 miles (Leslie Sansone 5 Day Slim Down - miles 1, 4 and 5)
9- 40 minutes (10 min solution target toning video)
10- 5 miles (Leslie Sansone 5K with a twist and Belly blasting walk videos)
11- 30 minutes (3 chapters of the target toning video)
12- 3 miles (Leslie Sansone 5K with a twist)

I'd take them! That is my daily source of chocolate to take care of my chocolate cravings (as well as treats for potty training Josh). I have them hidden behind stuff in the cupboard (so I have to work to get to them as well as be hidden out of sight so I don't think about them all the time). I try to limit myself to 1 small handfull a day about a tablespoon and a half approximately (but sometimes when I am stressed I have 2). And I make sure to eat them 1 at a time.

The reward I picked for this month is an exercise kit called The Ballet Physique. I really want to start doing more dancing again and I think workout videos would be a great way to get more dancing in. The kit comes with 2 dvd's and a small fitness ball and is about $40.

Way to go Amanda!!! When is the 10K? That is awesome! I've been thinking about doing the couch to 5K training over the summer and running the 5K at the fair in August....but I haven't quite talked myself into it 100% yet. You will have to reward yourself for completing your "reward".

Robin - So sorry your not doing so well this month. Hang in there and keep doing what you can!

Thanks. I am hurting more than I ever have in my life. I have also joined a squat challenge and we are up to 110. That combined with the running has my legs screaming in pain. I sure hope this is all worth it! My 10k is next Saturday. I need to register for it soon! I haven't yet because I wanted to make sure I could do it. I ran it in 1:03:58 yesterday, so pretty happy about that. When I ran it in 2010, I was at 1:10:15, so I have improved a little, lol.

Made it to my goal yesterday! Makes me so happy to get there 2 months in a row! Now time to figure out a goal for May. Thinking about trying the couch to 5K program, but will have to see how that works with the kids.

Way to go, Kelsey!! You can do the Couch to 5k! It's a really easy program and take the intimidation factor. Don't let the kids be your excuse :-) Make a plan and stick to it, just like you have for your exercise. Tell your hubby what you are going to do at the beginning of the month and make sure he is on board. You can do this!

Thanks Amanda! I ordered a pair of running shoes yesterday. Might have to see if the in-laws can watch the kids for me when I go out to do my run as DH will be in the field. We are really behind this year thanks to the weather. I'm sure he would watch them for me if he could, but he needs to be working. If I don't start it in May, then I will definitely give it a go in June. I need to get my copy of the program out and refresh my memory as to how many miles it is and then look at the calendar to see when the county fair's 5K fun run is so I can get a schedule set and maybe do the fun run as the "Finale" to my couch to 5K goal.

Definitely let us know how your 10K goes! I'll be cheering for you that day!
