Can't believe my little man is here! Here is his birth story and a few pictures.
Around 1:30am on the 29th I woke up cramping and decided to go bounce on the yoga ball. This was a pretty regular thing so I didn't think much of it. But a little while later I noticed some contractions and started timing. They were about 45 seconds long and 2.5-3 minute apart. I was talking fine so didn't fuss to much about them but had DH call his co worker just in case. DH decided to run to the store for some last minute items and I decided to lay down for a couple minutes. After 10 minutes of laying down all the contractions stopped. So disappointing.
DH went in to work but came home at 11:30 because he couldn't concentrate. We took DD shopping and then for a 2 mile walk. We had DTD the night before and thought maybe that is what brought on the contractions so we tried that again. Sure enough, within an hour I was contracting, about 30 seconds long and 6 min apart. Each one was getting a little more painful but still bearable. We called my mom to pick up DD at 4pm.
By the time we got to L&D it was 5pm. I was 5cm dilated and 95% effaced. Labor got intense pretty fast. By about 7:45pm I had caved and decide to get the epi. (I was really disappointed in myself but am coming to terms with my decision) It was in place and working by 8:15. 8:45 came around and I HAD to push. After two contractions Mr. Noah Nathan Jr. Was born weighing the same as his big sister did, 9lb 7oz and is 21" long.
He is just amazing! He latched on right away and has been nursing well ever since. We were able to go home at about 36 hours and have just been hanging out. He only cries when he needs something and sleeps a ton. It was so rewarding being on Team Green and I will do my best to convince others to joint team Green when they are expecting, lol.
