With my first pregnancy we sat and wrote down names. We had a mile long list of girl names and like 3 boy names that we didn't really care for. But Kayley was decided on within a day of making the list... I kept thinking "omg I hope its a girl or we're screwed". And sure enough...
This pregnancy we have a mile long boy list with one circled with a middle name and all ready to go... girls list.... we have 3 maybes but I don't really like them. It's a sign.. lol.

Anybody else have stories like this where your body just knew?

With all the boys as soon as we had settled on a name for a boy, I have felt pretty strongly that that was who was coming to our home. We have had a girl name for years. We haven't even started thinking of boy names yet. OOPS

With Bella I had a list of girl names, but no boy ones that I loved. It's kinda turning out the same this time.

We had a girls name and not a single boys name. When it turned put to be a boy we took forever fighting over names.
This time we had our boys name since before ttc and not a single girls name

We had our son's name picked out the moment I got pregnant! Now we don't have any names we love for either gender - but based on your theory, I hope the girl name hits first!

We have definitely come up with boy names more easily with each of our kids but this time we have agreed to not even talk names until we know the gender. We also promised each other not to announce a name we like until not only we know the gender but his brother and gf know the gender of their baby. I wonder what we would do if we are having babies of the same gender and pick the same name...

oh that'd be complicated! Maybe you could give her your ideas so she knows that you're considering them.

I had a similar system. With Leila we had solid boy names but no girl names, just a list. With Owen we had a solid girl name but no boy names, just a list. Obviously, that is the opposite but then again I am one that will not name my baby until I see him or her and get to know them. I see the fact that I had the opposite gender name more set a sign that I knew it was the opposite.

This time is hard because I feel girl but we had such a strong desire to name Owen Mallory Abigail that I mourned not being able to name him it lol. So I want to stick with it but I never make up my mind until I see them so I find myself looking at girl names. I am more set (if my SO would agree lol) on a boy name. So so long as this is a girl my mind is doing the same thing as the last two times.

We don't have a names situation, but I am always wrong on anyone I guess. I was wrong with myself included. I think boy (like I did last time) so it's probably another girl, lol!

We have a definite girl name picked out... that one was easy and we agreed right away... we have a whole list of boy's names that are possible, but nothing that we just LOVE. Based on that I'm betting it will be a boy!
