I thought about it, as I'm a doula and I'd like to give a new doula a chance at a certifying birth. But my labors are so fast that it probably wouldn't meet the time requirement! Personally I wouldn't mind having a wonderfully experienced doula but they cost a lot of money here. I've done perfectly fine for 3 labors without a doula so I'll be ok!
I want a doula. Whether or not I would like to pay for a doula, need one, or can easily get one in my area is a different story. Still going to need to do some research on that one. They seem like they help so much!
Born 12/30/11 and absolutely perfect!
I'm meeting with her next week so I'll see how it will work out financially. My biggest worry is paying for one and still ending up with a c-section. I really think I'll NEED one. So, hopefully it will all work out.
I had one with DD. It was great the first time when I was scared and didn't know what to expect. Honestly, my DH helped me more than my doula (he was absolutely amazing ) so I think it will be just us this time. I may have my SIL come to visit and give DH a break if needed.
