It's SO BORING! I hate waiting in the little room, because I always forget to bring a magazine with me. All I have is my phone, and the battery is super crappy so I don't want to overuse it and have it die before 10am again.

Anyway, I'm here to find out what's going on with my dizzy spells, so hopefully I'll get some answers. Update coming soon!

I hope you are with the doctor by now.

You mean they don't have a magazine rack in the room? My doctor does...which is nice and icky all at the same time.

Tadaaaa! I made it!

So, good news and bad news. Bad news is, my blood pressure is lower than last time (I think it was 110/58?), and that pattern is going to continue until January! As my mom would say, poop-a-doop! That's not cool. So she gave me some strategies for standing up and not fainting. I'm a bit sceptical, since I've dealt with low blood pressure for most of my life and there are always times when NOTHING helps. So for those times, I just have to be careful to sit or lie down before I fall and hurt myself.

The good news is, I'm supposed to eat every two hours, and I am SUPPOSED to eat chips to get more salt in my diet. Yessssss! I've wanted to hear that for years!

And the best news... I got to hear a heartbeat finally. It was at 144, but baby is SO active that it took a while to get it, and then the doctor had to go hunting for it a couple more times. Eeeeee too cute!
It was amazing.

Sorry about the lower bp. Mine last time was 93/63 so I know how you feel. My OB told me to eat more salt as well, which I love salty foods. I've been snacking on sunflower seeds. Congrats on hearing a hb!!!! Most amazing sound ever! Hope the extra salt helps with the dizziness!

Sounds like a good appointment a hb and being told to eat chips I am glad she gave you some strategies although it does kind of suck that there is no solution especially for those days when nothing helps.

Mmmmm, chips! And I always think hearing the hb is the sweetest sound in the world.

I'm sorry they can't do more to help with the low bp. This is the first pregnancy I'm having this problem and my bp has been consistently lower than 95/65. It is not so much fun, so I can totally sympathize.

Ha! Totally! My doctor is amazing and I would never want to go to anyone else. She's the #2 thing (after my parents) keeping me from moving away from this city! But she is so bad about wait times. I've never waited less than half an hour for an appointment with her. And it's been over an hour a couple of times!
My last doctor was never more than 5 minutes late, but his bedside manner sucked ( his pap smears were super rough! ) and it wasn't worth staying with him just for the punctuality.

I had to wait an hour at my first appointment this time around but it was totally worth it and as soon as she walked in I knew why she was behind. She made me feel like I was the only person she had to talk to that day and she wanted to inform me about everything and know exactly how I was feeling and what I wanted. Makes the wait worth it.

^ That's exactly the same as with my doctor. And she remembers little non-medical details about me (she asked how my dog Zoe is doing today, for example) which I think is really amazing.
