So...since I found out I was pregnant, I've lost around 4 pounds (I'm 7 weeks). My husband is starting to freak out, though from what I've read it's normal to either not gain or lose weight in the first trimester? I've had all day nausea and little to no appetite. I eat when I can but it's been a struggle.
My weight/BMI is in the normal/healthy range, so I'm not sure how that factors into losing weight? Should I be concerned??
As long as you don't lose more than 10% of your pre-pregnancy weight and are not dehydrated it can be normal. I have lost 16 lbs so far due to HG and am right at 10% weight loss so my doctor has taken more drastic action. I'm sure you will be weighed in at your next appt. and you DR. will discuss it if they are concerned. I hope you feel better soon so you can start eating!
I agree with the ladies above. It is something to keep an eye on, but I wouldn't be too concerned at this point. Make sure to get in lots of fluids and eat when you can. I hope you are feeling better soon!
Yeah I was about 140 when I found out I was pregnant.. Now at 9 weeks I'm down to 134.5 lbs.. So it is very normal early on to loss weight you will gain it back I'm sure. It normally takes me a while but then I gain it all back and then some..
