Has anyone heard of this or even tried it yet? I ordered it online ($27.99, free shipping)...apparently you can buy it in lots of stores. It's a gender predictor test and claims it has an 80% success rate. I talked to my sister and found out she had done it with her last baby (said she was having a girl but turns out it was wrong!) I thought it would be something fun to pass the time while waiting for August to CRAWL by...

Since some of you asked for pictures...
I did the test this morning and it was very simple with very clear results Keeping my fingers crossed it is right, I still have 5 1/2 weeks of waiting!
I also added HR for my little one from my doppler...it has been running 140's-150's, and an ultrasound pic from 11wks 2 days (a little early to really tell). We shall see....

I did one with DD and the results were inconclusive. You could not tell if it was a girl or boy result.

This pregnancy is going so fast, it's only a month until I'll know the gender, so I'm not going to spend the money on a test that's iffy at best.

Sounds like a high priced baking soda test. With the same iffy results I'd rather buy baking soda at least I can use the rest for cookies.

At least the price has come down!

A friend of mine used Intelligender back when it was new and cost something like $200. And it was wrong.

I don't now if they still do, but they offered a money back guarantee at the time. I know my friend tried to get her money back...Never heard if she actually succeeded.

Anyway, not something I would use. Especially since our anatomy scans are coming up so soon!

I think I have seen them at CVS. I wouldn't spend the money, cause I am cheap. BUT, if you wanna do it just for the fun of it and compare results, go for it. I wouldn't bank to much on the outcome.

We had a lot of people in Eli's PR use it and a lot of times the results were inconclusive. Actually I think the majority were inconclusive or they just couldn't TELL what the color was. Just want to let you know, that if that is the case you can call the company and they will send you a new one to try for free.
I wouldn't spend the money on it, but I am cheap!! If you have the $$ and want to do it for fun, I say why not?

Thanks for the input. I certainly wasn't planning on painting the nursery based on the results of this test. Just thought it would be something fun to keep us guessing while we waited...

I bought it and used it around 10 weeks and it was definitely a GIRL result.
Then at my N/T scan the tech said she thinks it's a BOY.

So one of them has to right LOL!

I did it last time and it was fun.....but, it was also wrong. I got a boy result, but had a girl. A friend of my got the same result, and hers was wrong, too.

If you do buy one, I can't wait to hear your results and find out if they are right!

Good luck! Are you hoping for a boy?

Those are very clear results! Have you done the red cabbage test? Seems to be pretty accurate from all the youtube videos I watched.

I plan to do mine sometime this weekend.

How fun!! Glad you got the results you were hoping for! At the minimum it was something fun and different and will help pass the time...can't expect much more than that!
