I know I said in my "intro" that this pregnancy took my husband and I by surprise, as we "tried" exactly two times over one weekend...which apparently was enough...but what about you gals? How long did you TTC before you finally got your BFP?

Also: who else has long, irregular cycles?? I do...always have...which is another reason we were so shocked with the BFP.

PS: I also realize how fortunate we were with such a quick conception, as not everyone is as fortunate.

It took us one try. Literally, we DTD once. We were on vacation and DH was sick. I guess that one time was all we needed though!

Just one "oh, what the heck, let's just go for it" try. (We hadn't planned to try until July.)

I have PCOS that wasn't diagnosed until this last April. The doctor before that told me "I was trying too hard." Yes a doctor said that, without doing bloodwork or anything. We had been trying since December 2009. Finally went to a specialist in April. My doctor didn't want me to go until November of this year. The specialist put me on Metformin, I lost 15 pounds, had two cycles since seeing her and then BAM, I was pregnant!

Another "first try" and another "waiting for July". Apparently I am in good company!

It had taken us a while with #1 because of a long history of being on BC and with #2 it took about 4 months. So, I said what the heck, let's start early. Well...here we are!

We were NTNP but the month (May) that we DTD we said, ah, like it will happen this ONE time.....BAM, I was preggers. DH was shocked, I was shocked....but not shocked that it DID happen, shocked at how fast it happened. DS was almost a years worth of charting, OPK's and temping to get him so we assumed #3 would be harder.

Of course we feel lucky and blessed it happened so quick for us....

Were were doing natural family family for 2.5 years. I finally decided to get back on some BC (Ive didnt want to be on any while BFing) I got my periods back in January of this year after having Marienah in Oct.2008, had a good run When my periods returned i was doing great at tracking my fertility and ovulation. DH and I DTD on May 10th unprotected and I new I was going to ovulate on the 12th. I told him that if we do it, im going to get pregnant. Weve been toying around with the idea of having another but I was feeling content with the 4 we have. I was going to get my IUD put in on my next period which was due in two weeks. Oh well, guess God had other plans for us.
Short answer it took one time on May 10h

It was our first month of trying. I was shocked when I got my BFP because it took 7 cycles to conceive dd and I just assumed it would take as long with this one.

4/25 IUD was removed and we decided to NTNP for a few months and then if I wasn't then to actually try. It looks like I got pg 2 wks after removal.

Aww thats my birthday!

We were NTNP. I was hoping to ttc maybe July/august time frame but it happened sooner. I was doing a fairly good job at tracking my cycles then one day looked and said "oops..." because I realized I was a couple days away from ovulating. Either I o'ed early or we just lucked out.

This was us too. My dh had back surgery in January and it was a fail. So DTD is a rare event. So when we did it once that month, and three days later I noticed my mucus changing, I freaked. I knew then that it was a possibility. I should have O almost 4 days later, but I guess baby was meant to be.
