How much are you willing to spend on a diaper bag?

To me, diaper bags are important and I will admit that I am willing to spend quit a bit on a good one. I like ones with lots of pockets. I like them to be very big and have lots of room because I am on over stuffer. And (shamefully on my part) I want them to look stylish since I will be the one carrying it.

In the end, I hope to spend around $100 on one, but if I see one that I have to have, I will spend more.

I would spend money if it will last and looks good. I started with one from BRU and hated it. So for Christmas I got the coach one at the outlet and love it I think it was a little over hundred but I know it's going to last.

I would spend no more than $100 unless it was something I was absolutely dying for! I really like the looks of the Petunia Picklebottom bags, but they are pricey. I have a cheap Carter's bag from BRU now. It's bulky but not enough pockets to make carrying that bulk worth it.

I think about $100 is reasonable for a diaper bag. I hate diaper bags! As soon as my babies get old enough to not need 5 diapers for a 2 hours trip and 3 changes of clothes I ditch the diaper bag and go to my big Coach bag! lol

But having said that... a friend got me the Gigi Hill diaper bag for Kate and I LOVE IT!! It's super cute and its made with vinyl on the inside so you can just wipe everything out!! So if a bottle leaks, or you have to put soiled clothes in it... NO PROBLEM! I think they are closer to $150, but so worth it!

Ok first of all, as a first time mommy, I had no idea that diaper bags were so expensive! Holy cow!

Secondly, I am an accessory hog. I will want a diaper bag that goes with pretty much everything. So my guess is, I'll be spending a lot. LOL

Unless something happens $0. We have three diaper bags that we were given while pregnant with Ari. They are all still in perfect condition. So if they all get broken or lost and we need a new one I don't think I'd spend more than $50.

I usually buy the cheap ones.. I have horrible luck with diaper bags. At first I got a nice fancy one that wasn't cheap... It ripped. So I just got the cheapo ones at walmart since I knew I'd be going thru them a lot.

I couldn't see myself paying that much for a diaper bag, but I'm not a bag person. My purse is just plain black and I'll buy another one when this one starts to fall apart. I have a plain black diaper bag that I used with my DD, but I'm not thrilled with it and I switch between that and other "beach bag" type bags I have. Maybe if I knew I would use it all the time I would spend a bit more.

Probably $100 or so. I'm not big on brands or flash, but functionality and durability will be huge considerations and I'm willing to pay for that. Depending on what DH is willing to haul around, we may end up with two, but my mom would make mine and we'll probably get DH a backpack style diaper bag to carry.

Well, my answer to this question is very different this time around than it was the previous two pregnancies.

With my first, I had the Land's End Do-It-All Diaper Bag, which is highly functional and minimally stylish. It's also gigantic and worked so well when I was a FTM and carried the entire world with me..."just in case".

Do-it-all Diaper Bag from Lands' End
(This is the current version of the bag. Mine is from 2005 or 2006 and is a little different but essentially the same. I think I paid the same - $40 - for it.)

With my second, I had the California Innovations sling diaper bag which was $30-40. Again, it was function over style, and it was perfect for what I needed because I wanted something that would stay out of the way, not be too large, and be 100% hands-free.

The problem I'm having now, though, is that now that my kids are older, I no longer carry a purse or bag. I usually just grab my wallet and cell phone, or stick both in whatever bag is relevant to what I'm doing (gym bag, kids' backpacks, whatever). So I want something that will function as both a purse and a diaper bag for the first year or two of this little one's life.

The two I'm leaning toward are both over $100.

Ju-Ju-Be Be All Messenger Diaper Bag (Pretty Tweet)

The Ju Ju Be is just adorable and it gets pretty good reviews. The Timi & Leslie could definitely function as a purse as the baby gets older, but it's not even made out of real leather and at $150, I think it should be. So now I'm thinking that I might just give myself a budget of $100-ish and try to find myself a nice, big, compartmentalized leather purse, instead.

I don't know. That was a lot of rambling.

I'd spend up to $200 but no more than that. I love my skiphop bag so i will probably pick another of theirs and they rarely go above $150. I just want something stylish, functional and not too heavy empty - not too much to ask for
