It's 3 Kings Day, celebrated in many Hispanic cultures. (I'm getting my experience from my time in Mexico). It is the day when the three wise men arrived to see baby Jesus and leave their gifts. Kids usually get a gift or candy on this day and have a special cake called "rosca de Reyes".
I'm confused about something here. Isn't Kings Day January 7th? I may be thinking of the 7th because it's the day after Kings Day so that's when we take down our Christmas tree. See, pregnancy brain strikes again!
