I defrosted chicken to put in the crock pot today, but I'm drawing a blank on what I want to cook. Any ideas?

Throw in a packet of taco seasoning, and after a couple of hours some chopped onions and peppers. Instant fajitas! Serve with tortillas and guacamole or whatever you like. Yum!

(add a couple tbs of water- the veggies will cook down and add water. You can omit the 2/3 cup of water usually called for on the back of the packet). The chicken shreds super easy.

I like to add a can of cream of chicken soup and just let it cook, then when it's done, serve it over rice or noodles. Quick, simple, easy and delicious!

I like to season the chicken with just some salt to bring out flavor then put it in the crockpot with a big can of mushroom soup. I let it cook that way all day and when there is about an hour left I put asparagus in the crock with it. I love it....and now I want to make it.

That sounds like a good idea!

I love making chicken soup in the slow cooker (if there is some skin on the chicken) but that takes a full 10-12 hours so it might be too late. Another recipe i love, but it sounds strange is:

Chicken legs, thighs and breasts with skin on. Mix it with apricot jam, catalina dressing and a packet of french onion soup mix. It's delicious even though it sounds odd. One tip though - don't use completely skinless chicken or it will turn orange. I also prefer this in the oven to the slow cooker - but if you do it in the slow cooker trim some of the fat so the sauce doesn't get too greasy (this doesn't happen in the oven).

I think I've seen something similar... I think it was called Sunrise chicken or something? I have boneless skinless, so not gonna work this time.

I think I'm just gonna do the mushroom soup. I have sweet potatoes I want to make too, so I think that is the plainest to go with the potatoes. I'm running out of time at this point so I better just throw something in!
