I'm making two kinds of salad and then we're trying a bunch of desserts from this new bakery that opened near us.

It's my birthday so DF said we could go out to eat wherever I wanted.

I opted to order in a big feast of delivery Chinese food! We got General Tso chicken, cashew chicken, 2 big things of wonton soup, crab Rangoons, and egg rolls.
Then we're going to get ice cream later.

My mom is bringing over all the fixin's for a picnic and we're all going to walk down to the ravine and find a picnic table. I'm not sure what exactly she's bringing, but she suggested potato salad and sandwiches last time we talked, so hopefully that. She makes THE best potato salad ever.

I'm going to pick up some sort of dessert on the way home from work, too. (Normally I would bake it myself, but my oven is a POS and not only does it distribute heat really unevenly, but it only has two functioning settings: 600F and off!)

My son has his first football game tonight, so it might not be a really planned out meal. He has to be there by 5:30, I don't get off work until 4:30.

It was supposed to be spaghetti squash with meatballs, yum!

Happy birthday, Chellie!

We're going out for Vietnamese; my dh loves pho (it's a soup), and I'm getting lemongrass pork on vermicelli. OMG, I cannot wait!

Indymommy6's post made me think of the roast beef that was for sale on HSN 3 nights ago. My mouth is watering. I really want to make a yummy roast beef, but I have NO IDEA how. Any (easy) recipes?

Tonight - sandwiches, eh

Jealous! I wish i had time to make breakfast in the mornings. It's a struggle just to get to the train on time, so i end up with oatmeal at the office most days.

I just put a roast and water in the crockpot and set and forget (well for 6-7 hours at least )
