How about any other kind of sushi that's cooked? Are there any other kinds that might be safe?

Ok, I think I may try to eat cooked rolls only. Hubby and I might go out to eat tonight and I really crave sushi!

Just be cautious of rice that may have been sitting somewhere for a while, rice can harbour bad bacteria causing food poisoning.

I still eat sushi. I only eat it from a local restaurant that has good preparation, I wouldn't from the grocery store or other places where it sits out after being prepared. My midwife said women in Japan aren't advised to stop eating sushi It's a personal choice, but I worry more about cold lunch meat than sushi for some reason. I am allergic to shellfish so I can't have the California rolls.

I ate one here and there with DS but was told not to this time because it's prepared in the same area as raw fish. I probably still would though if I really wanted one. I tend not to worry about that sorta stuff.

I'm totally over cautious, so I would worry about cross contamination from the raw fish. It's prob fine though, esp if they practice good food safety
