I went to the restaurant I used to get Sushi from and asked them about the chance of cross contamination and she said that it is very high. The lady told me that they may all the Sushi on the same board and that she would not recommend that any pregnant woman eats the Sushi. And this is a nice restaurant where they make it all in front of you. So no, Sushi for me. SOOOOOOO SAD!

And she also said that any place that tells you there is no chance of contamination is probably lying.

Yeah I wouldn't ever risk it! BUT what about homemade sushi! I know it never turns out as nice as restaurant stuff but practice makes perfect!

I just had some today. I am really not worried. Sushi grade fish is cured. No one in Japan is told to avoid it, and their mortality rate is way better than ours is. If you are going to a reputible place, you shouldn't have problems.

Yeah, you're probably right, but I still feel nervous about it.
