Dh is obsessed with making sure he rubs lotion or something on my stomach to prevent more stretch marks. I could really care less. Lol.
But he's like putting lotion on like clockwork every night.
He says he should use cocoa butter on it.
What do you girls think?

Honestly I've never used anything and (luckily) I never got stretch marks with my first two. Hopefully #3 doesn't bring them all on.

My dr told me that if you are going to get them, no creams will prevent them, just make them lighter. I've heard other things but for the most part I think he is accurate. Who knows......however b/c I did avoid them with my first two I am almost wanting to try cocoa butter JUST incase! LOL

It can't hurt right? Plus it smells yummy!

I've heard good things about cocoa butter. I think I'm doomed to get them either way. lol, I already have them and have never had a baby so I can just imagine what I'll look like after I have one! Couldn't hurt to try though...

Is cocoa butter sticky? I bought some stretch mark cream on Amazon and it's super sticky, so I hardly ever use it. I hate the feeling of my clothes sticking to my skin.

I think there's an actual lotion w cocoa butter. But all lotions seem sticky to me.
I just enjoy the rub downs from dh.

I used cocoa butter in my first pregnancy and it was not sticky. I think stretch marks will happen to certain people no matter what. I got them and I put lotion on all the time

thats sweet, maybe for him its more about being involved with the pregnancy and having some bonding time than it is about saving you from stretch marks.

The doctor is right, no amount of creams will prevent them if it's in your genetics to have them.

My husband was convinced that creams would stop them no matter what I said, and even though I lost weight during DD pregnancy instead of gained, I still ended up covered in them. I had to get a doctor to try and set him strait, and he STILL wanted to rub that smelly crap on my stomach.

I put cocoa butter cream on multiple times a day during my last pregnancy I thought it was working up until about 30~35 weeks when I exploded in them , needles to say I won't be waisting my money or time on it this time as my tummy is already a mess I think some people are just going to get them and others luck out :/

Mine don't show as much when I am getting sun and not looking like a pale white ghost! Dh has been giving me back rubs and all that a lot lately. Especially now that my belly really pokes out and the baby gets balled up sometimes so he can feel it. He's gotten more involved with rubbing the baby area and everything. It's nice.
I'll get some cocoa butter to appease him. Lol.
