I found out at 7 weeks that I was having twins. They do run in the family...but several generations up! So we were a little shocked, but we are SO excited! They have seperate sacks, and seperate placentas. My doctor said that even though they are in seperate sacks they still could be identical. If the egg split 1-3 days after fertilization then they could be identical. We will have to wait and see after they are born.

Yep, my identical twins had separate sacs and placentas. At birth it was pretty obvious to us that they were identical. We did end up getting their DNA tested just to know for sure.

I love the ultrasound pics. CUTE!

I'd love twins too —*DH and I got a late start on the big family we want, and I think it's neat that your babies will share a bond like no other. CONGRATS. love the pics!

Oh, I'm so jealous of your twins! My youngest brothers are identical twins, and I've always thought twins would be so cool to have. Unfortunately for my, my uterus has only the single occupant. Congratulations!
