I've been only coming up with girl names since I'm warning a girl so badly.
I have thought about boy names past few days and I've come up with one.
Just one. And I'm not sure I'm happy with it.

David Shea

David is dh's middle name.
Shea (pronounced Shay) is my dearest grandpas nickname. He's passed away 10 years ago but I always wanted to use his name somehow.

I'd likely call the baby Shea instead of David but I don't like Shea David as a name.
What do you girls think?

I like it but not the spelling, only because I would've said "she-ah" or "shay-ah," not just "shay."

I know a but who's first name is Shay. It's very unique and I like it. I knew how to pronounce it the way you spell it, but people may have trouble with it

I'm not sure why my grampas was shea. My aunt suggested using shey or Shay also.
Oddly grampas name was clair Arlen.
His brother had a lisp or something and pronounced clair like shey.
Idk HOW that evolved from clair to shey. Lol.
But shey stuck w him and he spelled it shea.
I'm more inclined to like Shay though now that you mention it.

I think Shea David sounds fine. If you are going to call him Shea anyway, why not just make it be his first name.

ok. I like Shay david or Shey David.
I have a few girl names.

Amira Jade
Jade Lee
Jade Li

I've liked Amira since I saw that one.
But I've seen Shay is a boy or girl name?
Shay Lee might go ok. But is that close to my daughters name if Kayleigh ?

Dh is from south Korea. I really wanted a name to have some sort of Korean background but I've had NO luck in finding any.
Funny enough dh's middle name of David has no family meaning.
When he got citizenship they made him pick one and he didn't have much time. So he picked the random name of David.
Id love a cute Korean girl name.

I don't even mind dh's given Korean name of min-chul but he doesn't like it. He thinks they should have "American" names or they get made fun of.

Maybe Shay for a girl and shey for a boy?

I have 3 nieces with clair in their names bc ALL of us loved papaw so much we wanted his name in our kids name. So I don't want to use clair since they've already been used so much. But I think some spelling of shey would be an awesome thing.

Now that I think of it, all the nieces have one form or another of my grampas name except my dd5. She's got a form of my moms name. I think papaw would be really proud to know so many of us thought so highly of him.

And funny enough he wasn't our "real" grampa. My grama married him after her first husband died. But he was THE best grampa hands down.
