We have a 3 bedroom house, right now it's our bedroom, spare bedroom and my office. Since I am going to be going part time and working from home a bit, I don't want to get rid of my office. So we are converting the spare bedroom (which hardly ever gets used) into the nursery. The only thing that stinks is all of DH's clothes are in the spare bedroom, and I will have to make room in my closet for his stuff (ugh!)

Right now I plan on doing stars and moons in the nursery. My nickname is Julie Moon (has been since birth), so I am partial to moons. Plus, it's gender neutral. I am thinking of a blue a few shades lighter than navy and gold. I will do one accent wall in blue and leave the other walls tan. My MIL is an artist and will hand paint stars and moons on the blue wall. I'm also thinking of writing the saying "I love you to the moon and back" above the crib.

What are your plans?

I wish I could have plans like that. DH and I live in a 2 bedroom apartment, but will be living in our room since all of DH's military gear is in the 2nd room and wont fit anywhere else. I want to paint and decorate, but I cant because DH is getting out of the Corps in a year, after which we will be moving in with my mom until we get on our feet.

Anyway, my plan is if it is a girl to do pink and lime green bedding with some pink and lime green polkadot wall decals behind the crib. If its a boy, i LOVE LOVE LOVE the lion king bedding at babies r us, so we will be doing a jungle theme then and will have the matching wall decals behind the crib.

We move into our first house in a week!! I'm so excited to decorate Ethan and baby Jett's room. Ethan is my 14 month old and we are going to do his room in Cars the movie. We are doing baby Jett's room in firetrucks bc my FIL and dh are both fireman. I can't wait to start!

Tyler's room is red, white and blue baseball with other patterns. I'll post pics too so you can see. No clue what we're doing. Our 3rd bedroom is an office as well so chances are baby will be with us and eventually we'll figure it out...or move!LOL

Love the Cars and Lion King themes. I thought about doing cars if we have a boy (not the movie, just cars in general since we're gear heads). My brother did a jungle theme for his kid's bathroom and I bought all the accessories at Target, they were so cute!

Love your theme hon! Love everyone else's too!

Since this is baby #3, we are bunking up our son (21mo) with the new baby once the baby is 6 months old or so! We just switched DS into a twin bed and left the crib up for baby! Here is what it looks like right now! Still need to spruce it up, add the new baby's name once we know the sex (at birth) and add a few more things!

Of course I need to put the crib back to 'baby' and add the bumper & mobile!

I love the moon and stars theme! Sounds like it will be a precious room. Holden's room is burgandy/navy/caramel with a sports theme. La's is pale yellow with a Winnie the Pooh/bees and butterflies theme. If this baby is a boy we are probably going jungle or helicopters...no idea if it is a girl. Just something pretty. Both of my kids started out in the yellow winnie the pooh nursery. My mom handpainted a gorgeous mural on the wall, then added the butterflies and Lyla's name written in ribbon letters before she was born. So now I want her to stay in there. Plus it has the big walk in closet, and my girl is a diva. She needs it.

Moon and stars theme is very cute and versatile for either gender. And I absolutely love the quote you will put on the wall...I love that book! Lucky you to have an artist in your family to do the personalization for you!

There is a giant window in the front spare bedroom and I'm terrified someone would use it to break in and I wouldn't be able to get to the kids, so until we move the baby will be with us for 4-6 months and then sleeping in Emily's room which is closest to us. Her's has tan walls with pastel accents and a butterfly / dragonfly / flower theme. So I guess all of her accents will move to her side if it's a boy and there will be two sides to the room. If it's a girl, I'll just make some new things for the baby that match the theme already in there. We may be moving, in which case, everything will be up in the air.

Cute ideas
I haven't really started thinking yet about a theme.
We are using the office as the nursery since my mom lives with us and is in 4th bedroom.
Only issue is we have to put up a door for the nursery not sure how much that will cost
