We're thinking about keeping with the trend and having all J names in the family. This means our girls name might change from Renee Jeanne to Jamie Renee. Does that sound good? DH is still stuck on naming a boy James after himself, and I think I might lose this battle! As a last ditch effort, can anyone suggest any good J boy names?

the ladies offered good suggestions!! Would he let you use James as the middle name? My DH was set on naming our son after his granddaddy so we used James as Tyler's middle name.

Really considering it if this one's a baby girl and baby daddy and I don't work out (cause then I get to name baby by myself).....

We have a Jordan. He was very close to being Joshua though. We weren't going with a J name necessarily but those were just 2 names we liked. I also liked Jett but it wouldn't work with a Brett already.

That's the Duggar's theme too! Go check out their names, lol. No seriously, I love the name Jude (that's our 5 year olds name).

Oops I see someone mentioned the Duggars. That's what I get for not reading through the other posts.

I vote for Jude as well...its iconic, you can't go wrong! Plus I had a very good girl friend named Jude, who was killed by a drunk driver. She was the most beautiful person I've ever known, inside and out, so it has a lot of special meaning to me.

Those are all great suggestions. Yes, my plan is to use James as a middle name. I really like Jude but both DH and MIL say no. I have a large family and a lot of J's, so the following names are out:

Jack
Jonathon
Jason
Jacob
Jarod
Jerry
Joseph
Joel

I am searching for a first name. I am okay with using James as a middle, but not sold on it as a first, especially if we use Jamie for a girl. But like I said, I fear I might lose this battle. He won't even consider another name. If we do use James, I think we will use James Paul, after both of our dads. It sounds good with our last name, and we can call him Jimmy. But I will not give in that easily...there's still hope! LOL

I've had the most random people break out in the song, "Hey Jude" when they find out my little guy's name. Even US Customs officers have started singing.
