- we've been in our new house for a week. LOVING the changes we've already made. Need to find a carpenter to build us some walls so we can then find a plumber to put in the shower we bought. Also need to have our friend drywall the master closet so we can put in our organizers. It's coming along though!!!

- we've had SO MUCH HELP with this move/unpacking. It'll take me 2 hours to write out thank yous. But we appreciate it.

- Looking for ideas for an Appreciation Party! Some ppl helped out much more than others, and they deserved more than a card!! IDEAS?!?!? (Most of our helpers are not drinkers, so free booze won't get us far.)

A barbecue is always a nice appreciation. But instead of burgers and hot dogs, you could do chicken, steak and brats? This will give all you the opportunity to relax and look at the great work you all have done so far.

I agree about having a BBQ or some kind of party for whoever helped you guys out. If you want to give them something, buy gift cards, that way you can give more to those who helped more and no one will be the wiser.

For me, a BBQ sounds more personal than a gift card and a thank you. Also, a tour through the "finished" product just to show them what a difference they made. Maybe give them some kind of potted plant or flower to take home after the party.

A BBQ is nice if you are up to the prep work and actually having people over to entertain.

A gift card is also nice if you don't have the energy for a party.
