I'm 5 weeks 3 days pregnant. For the past few days i've been really dizzy and light headed. I cannot concentrate at all and my breathing is short and fast. Anyone experiencing this or have any ideas if this is normal?
I have been very very dizzy, nearly every time I stand up I have to clutch a wall. I spoke to my doctor about it, and she said that at this time, our bodies are making 40-50% more blood than usual, and it is all directed to baby first. So, she said being a little dizzy was ok but it means we should be drinking way more fluids and she even suggested trying a bit more salt.
I get dizzy when I stand up, and I get out of breath more easily when i am active, like I feel really out of shape. My heart also often feels like it is "pounding". I had this with my last pregnancy too and was also told it was due to the increased blood supply and blood pumping to the baby.
