...to make up a little white lie tomorrow to try and get an ultrasound?!?! haha. I have my 16 wk appt. tomorrow and am not due to have another u/s until my 20 week appt. and I'm just so darn antsy to see the baby again! Everyone's finding out the baby gender but me, and I want to know now, dang it!! haha. Anyway, I highly doubt I would say something just for an u/s... it was just a random thought that struck me for a second and I felt the need to share! You may all carry on with your lives now.

Had I not went out in town and paid for mine, I wouldn't have found out the gender of this LO until mid Oct too. It sucks watching all the genders start to come through but there's still tons of ladies here who haven't found out their babies sex yet either.

haha well you could make up some excuse but you haven't got much longer to wait until the 20 week scan! haha I understand your want/need to see baby though... doesn't it seem so far away when you are 16 weeks! I was unlucky but I guess lucky in the end to have some spotting so I got a scan at 16 weeks! The scan guy told me his gender guess but he wasn't 100%, Turns out he was correct BUT 16 weeks can be early to get a definitive gender guess anyway.

I was at my anatomy scan (19 weeks) and I mentioned that I had a 'growth scan' with DD but I don't think my midwife has requested one this time around. She responded... "I actually think third trimester scans are actually quite useful when looking at all the anatomy and organs so that I should/could make up a wee story/excuse so that I could get one! hahaha. Who knows maybe I will do just that!

I won't get my anatomy/gender scan until 20 weeks either. That's the standard practice in this area. It has been for all of my pregnancies. 3 more weeks to go!

I'm not until 20 weeks either. But then again, we're waiting for the LONG haul to find our gender anyway But it will be really really nice to see the little kiddo again and see (hopefully) that everything is still going okay. We can do it!!!

I'd be tempted but wouldn't be able to do it. My scan is at 20 weeks also, but that is this Wednesday! I've been getting more and more anxious waiting...2 more days! Good luck at your appt, and I hope the waiting isn't too bad!

I will be like 24/25 weeks before I get mine! Ahh! So I feel you when you say you want to make up a story. I told my doc at my last appointment about some spotting that I had (I really did have spotting), and that I was worried, but he wouldn't give me an u/s though. Unfortunately, I just moved here and they don't do ultrasounds at the doctor office - I have to go to the hospital. And they were overbooked for about a month. That's why I have to wait Good luck with your wait - hopefully the time starts to fly by now for us!

I'm still waiting for mine too. That has entered my mind as well, but I figured I might as well wait since things will only be easier to see later. I will be so sad if the baby doesn't flash me though, as this will most likely be my last u/s.

They don't do the anatomy/gender scan here until you are 20-24 weeks. I have a regular appt next Monday, so I'm hoping that they will schedule the ultrasound then.
Thank you to Brie_91 for my perfect new siggy!!!

Haha yeah I doubt I would actually say anything... I feel like it'd give me bad karma which I DO NOT want/need. They don't do u/s here until 20 weeks, but today I'm actually going to have to talk to them about pushing it BACK a week and wait until 21 weeks :/ because my husband will be in a training course when I'm 20 weeks so he most likely wouldn't make it to the gender scan. He was deployed throughout my pregnancy with DS so it means a lot to both of us that he be able to be there for everything this time around. I just hope they comply with the request! I have a feeling they won't though.

I got an "extra" ultrasound at the very beginning of this pregnancy because of abdominal pain. My doctor that I was seeing at the time charged me something like $150 for it since it wasn't protocol. If they are going to charge extra like that you might as well go to one of those places that just do ultrasounds and get one without having to fib.

That being said, I'm sure you wouldn't be the first woman to have done it.

Thank you GraysMama for my beautiful siggy!

Honestly the time will fly by. I thought it would feel like forever till I find out my little ones gender but I have 3 days left and I scheduled the appointment 5 weeks ago.

I would consider it but wouldn't want to pay any out of pocket costs... so we'll be waiting until 20 weeks. By then, it will be 3 months since I had a peek at the baby. It sucks waiting lol.
