So I had my ultrasound today. Everything looks good other than they said the bowels are looking white which they call echogenic bowels which is a soft marker for Down syndrome, Cystic Fibrosis, blockage or a couple other things. She wants me to do a level 2 ultrasound. I am not too worried about Down syndrom since my NT test came back neg and I have no other markers. Also neither me or my husband have CF in our family. She said it could just be an isolated issue.

Has anyone been told their ultrasound showed echogenic bowels, and what was the outcome?

I haven't but a friend of mine carried the CF gene and baby did not have. Let us know how it turns out. It may be nothing.
