I just got home from the best appt! I will try and keep it short and sweet.
Baby HR - 140bpm
measuring 19w even though I am 21w. I always measure a few weeks behind though.
Got a copy of my triple screen and u/s results (which I wasn't expecting).
Risk of down - 1 in 7800
Risk of NTD (neural tube defect) - 1 in 3700
Fetal anatomy came back normal on all accounts.
Baby's parts (head etc) are all measuring bang on.
And.......reason why I felt movement MUCH later on...it is confirmed I have an anterior placenta! Dr. drew a picture for me and yes, he said the u/s results showed my placenta is TOTALLY covering the front of my uterus! Makes me feel so much better! Whew
Ladies, I am SO relieved. I kept having horrible thoughts something would be wrong. I am just so blessed and feel so lucky that he/she is doing great! YAH!
Aw! Glad it went so well! I felt that same relief when I found out my placenta was anterior. It definitely makes a mama worry to not feel those familiar wiggles when expected, huh? Hooray for a wonderful appointment and a very healthy little baby!
