I would say I just want my mom and DH there, but now my mom lives 500 miles away, and I just don't see her making it in time...I may just want Dh there...and possibly his mom...I love her to death but I am not 100% sure I want her to see EVERYTHING though.

It will be just me and hubby in the room. But, we've asked my mom to come to the hospital just in case hubby needs her. We will be taking the appropriate classes and I assume he'll be ready by then, but knowing she'll be close and can help will greatly set him at ease. Neither of us are really worried about the routine stuff, it's the emergency stuff that he's not sure he can handle. Most likely she'll hang out in the waiting room, or close to her phone in the area. She's the first one to say that our babies birth is between us, and really doesnt want to be there unless she has to lol

There are only 2 adults (besides myself) allowed in the birthing room at my hospital. So, it will be DH and our doula.

Last time I had my husband, my two sisters, and my mom. (I asked Mat's Grandma...but she said no...AMEN!) My sister, who has 3 kids, and my mom stood off to the side. The sister that has none and I thought would be the one grossed out held my leg! Mat had the other leg. I think that it brought us all together even more sharing this experience. I am a VERY modist girl, but at that point 1.) you don't care, 2.) they were there to entertain Mat...and even me during contractions, 3.) they were also there to tell Mat that is NOT okay to go to the bathroom while I am pushing! LOL! and 4.) they were there to give Mat a break during the day(I think that Mat would of drove me crazy if he did not have someone else to talk too!)

I am SO sad that I have to have a c-section and they can't be in there with me this time. My sister...the one that does not have kids, nor want kids, said if Mat did not want to be in the delivery room (He does not do well with blood, me being in pain, etc.) that she would go in there with me!

I havent had my first baby yet, but I figured I would mention... my sister said that having her best friend there with her and hubby made her and her friend closer, and a friend of mine had her best friend (who was godmommy) there and she says it made her feel "special" lol

My birth team will consist of DH, my midwife, her assistant and maybe another assistant who is trying to get enough births under her belt to get her license. I really don't have any friends or family member who I'm comfortable having there.
