Some Caesar has raw eggs and raw anchovie paste in it...I figure those are the reasons why. But if it's a Caesar from a bottle from the super market, I figure it's ok. You are only going to get a Caesar with raw eggs and raw anchovie paste at a very upscale restaurant where they make their dressing in-house.

Well, I have had plenty of those since I've been preggers, both times in fact! Hopefully it's done no harm.

Yeah I think its the raw egg possibility which can contain listeria ...that nasty bacteria that can cause miscarriage, pre term labour/stillbirth.

The dressing in ceasar salad, if from a restaurant.. Will have raw egg in it. Like all house made sauces in that category.. Ie: aoli & mayonnaise. Raw egg is in the recipes.
Raw egg can carry the listeria bacteria.
If you're needing a ceasar salad fix, my suggestion is making it at home from a supermarket bottled sauce commercial ceasar dressing is fine!

You should be fine with most bottled Ceasar dressings and even those served at a lot of chain restaurants. It is typically freshly made Ceasar to be wary of...like every one said, bc of the raw egg.
