Ok. I don't want to seem more like a spaz. But I got a little nervous.

Jade has had a very regular "movement" schedule for about 3 or 4 weeks.
She moves very little during the day then at night from about 8 pm until 3 or 4 am she moves BIG TIME.
Hard kicks and all that. Very predicable.

Yesterday she moved a bit during the day.
Then by 11 pm I didn't feel much at all.
I stayed awake almost all night waiting and watching for movement.
Didn't really feel anything.

It's now morning and I didn't feel anything until just now.
I've had about 3 or 4 visible kicks.
I'm obviously very anxious about it or I wouldn't be posting it.
Anyone else have similar things going on?
Should I drop by my doctor and ask them to check her heartbeat?

I would call and see if they're willing, why not. But I'm sure it's nothing, she's probably just sleepy. That's why I got the Doppler, to ease my mind. It's been the greatest thing ever.

I understand the worry, and I've always heard that if movement decreases significantly to call the doctor. I think that by week 28 you're supposed to start countif kicks and there's supposed to be at least 10 in a 2 hr period. But that's farther along when their movement is more predictable. For now, I wouldn't stress too hard about it, my little one wasn't as active today either, but I'm thinking today I'll notice an increase to normal activity levels. I'm sure you will too. If not, ease your mind and call the dr, it's never a bad thing!

I think it's always best to let your doctor know about anything that's concerning you, no matter how small. I think it is normal for babies to have some longer stretches of inactivity though, so try not to worry too much.

Yeah I'm now wishing I had bought the doppler.
I had planned to, and then her movements got so strong and regular that I thought I'd be able to judge by that. Now that she's quiet today, I'm having a panic attack about it.
I even dtd with dh seeing if that would wake her.
But I guess the past 3 days of no dtd backfired on me.
Dh finished in like 32 seconds so there wasn't much "activity". Lol
Usually when we dtd she gets very active and even balls up.
So much so that it freaks dh out and he has to stop.
Not today...

I think I'll "drop by" my dr and ask if they can just check her heartbeat real quick. They are usually good about accommodating things. I know I won't be able to focus on anything else until I know she's ok.

They are working me in at 2 so I'm sitting here waiting.
I've had some light movements but not much
They have me here around an open US appt just in case they need one.

I physically felt different since yesterday like the baby is somewhere else ?
I'm thinking maybe she's moved to head down instead of head up and maybe I just can't "feel" the movements as much now?
I usually feel her head or something on the right side and I don't feel that now.
My blood sugar also keeps bottoming out real fast and sudden.
I'm wondering if my low blood sugar is causing the baby to be less active.
I have no idea. Gah. I just can't stop worrying.

I called while I was farther along with my DD Zoey due to her not moving they told me to drink some soda and see if she was moving. Then if no real action to call back. This baby now only has only like twice in the day when she is all about moving. In the mornings she sleeps afternoon she is awake even very little movement then like 11-12 she is going like crazy. I'm really sorry I hope everything turns out ok and its just the worried mommy in you.

I hope all is well, I agree no worry is too little to go see your doctor. I'm sure she is just having a quiet day/night OR she has moved positions and you can't feel her as much. I too have whole days when I feel barely anything then the next day or night its ALL on! And you know what?... sometimes I worry about my baby moving TOO much! haha I think wow whats wrong in there, is she trying to get loose from the cord or something!?

Good Luck, Im sure all is well. KUP

I hope everything is alright. I was told that movements will be irregular till third trimester or so. There is certainly never any harm in going to the doctor to make sure everything is ok.

I know from past pregnancies that this would happen, every time I just assumed it was a growth spurt and they needed more sleep. But if it makes you feel better than definitely get checked. Or drink some orange juice, that always seemed to get my babies moving.
