Go right when you feel the need to and put your feet up (bring a low stool with you if you can). I know it sounds funny, but it really helps.

I am so sorry! I have had similar troubles, but a week???!!! You poor thing. For me, eating small frequent meals, tons of fruit and veggies (specifically lots of apples, carrots citrus fruits, and berries) &drinking water constantly workd. Oh, snd staying active. A quick walk after meals when possible works wonders. zgood luck!!!

I've always had a constipation problem but pregnancy took it too a new level. It's been a week for me too and I'm almost desperate enough to take a laxative lol. I just need some sort of relief!

Yep. =/

If it's been that long, you should ask your doctor about magnesium citrate. It's mean to completely clean everything out.

My doctor has be on metimucil capsules in the morning (for extra fiber). I suggest philips milk of magnesia. My doctor approved it for me if I got oober constipated which it sounds like you are. Also, arnolds makes bread with extra fiber in it...thats the only bread product i will eat. Any other binds me up.

Fruit (especially prunes, I really like the cherry flavored ones in individual packs), water, hot beverages (I like green tea) and walking. You can also try dulcolax, got that for DH after his surgery and it helped him go without being painful or making him go too much, if you know what I mean.

so I slowed right down the last two weeks, like once every three days, and I tried Colace (well the cvs equivalent brand). I took one and instantly had relief. Lately I take 1-2 and usually get success. It just makes things normal again. Good luck!

I had never had issues in my life until this pregnancy... thank you Zofran. Mine got to the point where my doctor decided the benefit of an enema outweighed any risk to the baby and I stopped taking Zofran because I would rather puke then not poo. I tried Colace, eating all the things they recommend, drinking tons of water and taking benefiber and nothing worked I was in so much pain I will never take poo for granted again.

I go back and forth between not going and going very often with this pregnancy. My doc said I could take a laxative or softener to help, but I haven't needed to yet. I try to drink something very cold after my first meal and that usually helps. My bigger problem is bad gas, so Gas-X has been my friend lately lol. Also, probiotics can help too.

I hope it gets better for you! If nothing natural helps, I would definitely get a laxative.

I've always had issues but yes pregnancy def intensifies it. I think I'm on day 9? I don't know for sure I can't remember last time. I eat tons of fruits, drink some apple juice, lots of water, fiber bars..... my mw suggested miralax, colace, ex lax, really any of that stuff. Last time I took 2x the suggested amount of ex lax and still got nothing! I'm going to take a couple colace and see what happens.
