This sandwich sounds way too simple to be amazing, but it is (assuming of course that you like all ingredients used).

First you need some good soft french bread. Sadly the best place we've found french bread is walmart, which I hate shopping there so go figure.

Then some good juicy tomatoes. We generally only use organic tomatoes just because a lot of regular grocery store tomatoes have so little taste to them anymore.

Next thing you do is slice the french bread like a Subway sandwich to whatever length you desire. Add as much mayonnaise (if you like miracle whip, well...I don't know what to tell you ) as you prefer then sprinkle with salt and pepper (we use fresh ground black pepper and sea salt) and then add tomato slices. They're best when sliced as thin as possible because otherwise when the bread gets squeezed together the slices can slide out if sliced thickly.

And that's it, it's a really simple snack that DH and I love to have especially when tomatoes are at their ripest.

Sounds awesome. I like tomato sandwiches just on regular bread, but it sounds really good to do it that way.
