So earlier this evening I asked my mom "if baby moving feels like gas how do you know if it's baby or gas bubbles?" she responds with "if you fart it's gas if you don't it's most likely baby" ha ha thanks mom!

It's good to have at least one parent who will be goofy with you.

I was telling my dad and little sister about the baby jumping yesterday and my sister thought it was cool and wanted to see the u/s pics so I showed her what I had on my phone and then I showed my dad and he didn't do ANYTHING! I get your not exactly thrilled about baby but you could say something! He was emotionless it really hurt me. It just makes me more grateful for my goofy mom and my boyfriends parents who are as excited as we are!

Wow ok glad I could get that off my chest!

I love your mom's explanation! I'm sorry your dad is being that like.. by the time he sees baby for the first time, all of that will go away. He's gonna love his grandbaby.

I hope so I told my boyfriend that I just won't talk to my dad about it because it's obvious he doesn't want to hear it. The way he acts just makes me feel ignored and it hurts me. I know my mom is not totally excited about it yet either but at least she is goofy and talks with me about what is going on and cares about how I feel the only input my dad has given is making fun of names I was looking at online.

I'm sorry he is acting that way around you. I'm sure he will come around and then once he sees that baby it will be a totally different story. Stay positive!

I have noticed a lot of dads, don't show the emotion for pregnancy as a mother. But once they hold that lil baby, and they start calling them Papa (or whatever term they will call them), it really lights up their life, and they start showing more emotion!

Venting again! Ugh so I'm getting the dish with the pickles ready and I keep munching on them and tell my mom (I'm already pissed and not talking to my dad) "this is crule your making the pregnant woman set the pickles up" my mom laughs but my dad buts in and says "that's what happens when you go off getting pregnant" I'm in my brothers room crying and wanting to just go home. What an a**!!!
