Hmm..
Ok, first off I'm Kailey! (Hello Kailey! Yeah..totally on the spot right here.. )
Anyways, I'm 19 and my SO Dylan is 22. When Blueberry is born I will be 20 and he will be 23. I have a daughter that isn't his, Ashlynn, who is 22 months old as of, well, Today!
Who is also doing Little Einsteins' "Pat pat pat pat pat"
It's her favorite show That and "Oh TOOOOOOODLESSS" (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
Hmm..
I breastfeed, cloth diaper, don't vax (stopped when Ashlynn was 1 year old), I bedshare when she wants to and co-sleep when she's in her own bed.
I'm AP for the most part, minus saying "NO" far too often, but Ashlynn is also a little punk
I currently live with my mom, stepdad, 2 sisters (6+9yrs old), and their 4 cats and 2 dogs.
I personally have 2 birds and 6 fish (5 female bettas and one male)
Dylan and I will be moving..eventually. We had an apartment all set up and ready to go and our cosigner backed out and decided she'd rather buy us a condo and we'd pay her $xyz/mo and pay for our utilities, so we're just waiting for her to pick somewhere and get her offer accepted..
It's frustrating!
So I swear i'm not crazy when I say "we'll be moving soon.."

Ok.. I think that's about it. And Ashlynn is informing me that she's "poopy"
Though one last thing. Being a young parent may be tough and may be tougher than if I were 30+, however the way I see it is when everyone else has 10yr olds or younger, I'll be on a cruise in the Bahamas because my kids will be grown I also spend very little on my children's infancy between breastfeeding and cloth diapering, and consignment store shopping I'm cheap

Haha, love your outlook on being a young parent My mom was 20 when she had me, I love how close we are because of it! I do have much younger siblings however, so she did it twice - lol! Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see what questions we come up with for you now and what your answers will be!

Welcome to the board and I look forward to hearing about Ashlynn's upcoming 2nd bday! And watching your honey pot grow

Thanks for sharing with us! I'm happy to have another young mom on here, I was 16 when I got pregnant with DS1 and 17 when I had him. I definitely didn't get the "easy route" but I grew up and made good decisions and raised my baby the best I could! Being a young mom definitely doesn't say anything about how good of a mother you are!

I was young w/ my first and had so much more energy to run after him and play. Being an "older" mom now I wish I had that back! My boys love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse too. I love to see Grae dance to The Hotdog Song! You seem like your doing a great job!

LOL I can keep up with my little stinker until my growing belly stinker exhausts me I've been practically dead all day and she's been a monster.
Thanks everyone I love being a younger mommy.
I had my cousins asking me yesterday WHY I got pregnant again, wasn't one enough? They're 17 and 18 or 19 so I guess I don't blame them. Even though I was a mom at 17. And, believe it or not, ever wanted to have kids! DD was an oopsie and I love her to death

Sometimes ooopsie's are the best mistakes...what my mom tells me all of the time Sometimes young moms are better than "old" moms, being young doesn't define you as being a good or bad mother - so ditto to Jacob&Rylansmom

Yay! Great intro. I also didn't realize you were 19 by your posts. It is great to have moms of all ages in our DDC. I think it bring a lot of perspective to the group. Thanks so much for sharing! My little stinker is 22 months old, so like Paola, I feel your pain too! Can't wait to hear more from you!

My mom was 15 when she got pregnant with my brother, and she was totally looking forward to living life after he was out of the house...until she got pregnant with me at 36!

Great intro!! My boys Luke and Logan love Mickey Mouse (they are 21 months). Luke's first word was "hotdog" . They love to get up and dance like maniacs aat the end! Kids are just so funny at this age.

i was a young mom too i had my daughter at 20. i think it made me a stonger person cause i worked 3 jobs and took care of her by myself without her father in the picture. good luck finding a place soon! that can be stressful!

I would say there are complications with being a 30+ parent too, though I can't really speak to it, being not 30. My mother was though. I had my first at your current age, 19. So not as young as your first, but I can relate. We also lived with my parents back then. I wouldn't be anywhere without them.
