I feel absolutely miserable and whenever I cough a lot I gag... which is sooo not fun! On top of that I have no appetite though I need to eat something.
So feeling sick doesn't go well with being horribly paranoid that something will happen to my bean. When does this paranoia stop, by the way? Wonder if I'd be happy if I had a doppler LOL Listen in every few days in between Dr appointments... Hmmmmm
Mommy to Nathaniel born July 7th, 2012
Mary, the paranoia doesn't go away until movement starts (if it goes away at all). Don't worry about the not eating thing, I lost a couple of pounds when I was pg with Reagan because I was sick, just make sure you are well hydrated - the baby will take what it needs from you. Try to at least get some sort of vitamin in your system, even if it's just a child's gummy. Also, try crackers and ginger ale or ginger or peppermint tea - ginger and peppermint are great for nausea!
The gagging happens to me too, happened with DD too - she was fine. You will not harm the baby by coughing/gagging/vomiting/etc, that bean is well snuggled in and protected from anything like that.
The doppler may help, but it may also cause more paranoia, if one day you have a hard time finding the hb. I just got one, it has helped me relax a bit, depends on if you want to spend the money on the thing or not
Ihope feel better soon! Keep yourself well hydrated!!!
Il ow this doesn't help but paranoia (at least for me) never stops! Gets worse once the baby is atually born! Hehe there is always something to worry about but just have to remember to take time to enjoy pregnancy (regardless of crappy symptoms) and once the baby is born ( enjoy that moment since they grow so quickly!)
Yah I don't think the worrying goes away ever again. Welcome to parenthood lol! I hope you feel better. I feel for you, I have had this cold for over a week. It's better but still there and making me nuts!
