So many of you have mentioned how much your baby moved during your u/s and I don't recall mine moving at all! It was just "there". I'm really starting to worry! There was a strong h/b, it was 180. The doc did say the baby was moving, but I never saw it move. The machine she used was hard for me to see at the time. Hmm. Maybe when she angled it for me to see, she had actually frozen the picture? Ugh now I can't stop thinking about this. They did tell me I could come in for a quick look if I ever felt worried, but I'm not sure my insurance would cover it and we can't afford it. I doubt there's anything to worry about, right? I mean, I HEARD the heart beating. I just wish I had seen the baby move!

I had two ultrasounds when I was about 8 weeks and both times, there was no movement at all. It did freak me out a bit, but obviously everything was ok...then I had a quickie u/s with a crappy machine at 11 weeks and the Dr. said the baby is moving but I really couldn't see it. So you are not alone! I'm sure evrything is fine.

When I had mine done at 8.5 weeks, baby didn't move around either. HB was there and everything though. I think the actual movements start later, around the 12-14 weeks. How far along were you?

I didn't notice mine moving a lot. I was 10 weeks. The tech said the baby moved though, and I heard a good strong hb, so I'm not worried.

I had an u/s last week at 10w and didn't see baby move at all. I can feel it moving at night now, but that's because I know what it feels like and my uterus is so stinkin' high.

Don't feel bad! I couldn't see my baby moving because of how the screen was angled - the tech just described it to me! Don't worry!

I agree, baby may have been snoozing or when you looked it just wasn't moving. When I went in at 8w 1d, I saw baby move very slightly, once! DH didn't see it move at all, u/s tech saw it but she was doing her thing, so she was looking very closely, had I not been looking at that exact second, I wouldn't have seen any movement. Try not to worry, although I know it is hard. How far along were you?

I was 11w3d at the last u/s. The doc said the baby was moving so I guess I just have to trust her! I wish I could've seen it though. I don't think I'll be seeing baby again until the 20 week appointment!

I agree with the PP's, don't worry! My NT scan was at 11 weeks 1 day and the baby didn't move much at all, although the tech was struggling to get a good HB because the baby was moving too much? Maybe it's just because they are still so small it doesn't look like much movement? The only thing I got to see was baby do a handstand and then move back to the side LOL.

20 weeks will be here faster than you know it especially with the holiday right around the corner!

It's REALLY early to be feeling movement. even with this being my 3rd baby and I know the feeling I'm waiting on, I haven't felt my baby yet either. I know everything is fine with my babe b/c I have a doppler and listen regularly for the hb

Plus, feeling movement has a lot to do with placenta placement too. if you have an anterior placenta it will be harder to feel movement than if you have posterior placenta placement.

Now that you mention it, my little bean wasn't moving much at my 9 week u/s either. The tech was very quick and I believe the picture was frozen because she did a few. She did tell me the baby was moving around and wiggling its legs and arms. No worries!

As the girls said, dont even worry about it!
Babies are like us... some times they snooze

If you really want to see it kicking like crazy, have something really sweet or something like orange juice right before the u/s.
I dont know if its an old wives tale or not but it worked for me! (and my dr hated me because they needed the baby to stay still for the NT scan, haha)

LOL! I think actually, sometimes if they need babies to change positions, they will actually give you something sweet, soda or something very cold to drink to get baby to move around so they can get a better view, don't think it's a wives tale
