I had my first prenatal appointment today (I had an appointment when I was 6 weeks, but it was just to date and confirm the pregnancy). It was fabulous! We got an US and got to see the baby! It was moving around and rubbing it's face. It was one of the sweetest things I have ever seen! It is amazing how much it has grown and developed in just 4 weeks! It looked like a little baby! I am supposed to be 10 weeks today, but I was measuring 10w4d. We are sticking with the original DD, though. We got to hear the heartbeat and my OB said it was beating around 160 bpm. I gave urine (of course) and was weighed. Luckily, I only gained 2 lbs in the past month. I was very worried about that with all the holiday eating. I also had to give blood (like 7 vials!).
All in all, it was a great appointment. I am so excited! It really made it hit home that I am having a baby!!!
Yay for a great appointment! I'm supposed to go in this week and do my donation of 20 vials too... lol. Oh, and I'm a little worried now about my weight gain too. I haven't stepped on a scale, but I haven't stopped binging since Thanksgiving, lol.

I hear you about the binging! We had Halloween, then my husband's birthday, then Thanksgiving, and then many random cookies and brownies thrown in here and there! I really thought I had gained at least 5 lbs!
Good luck at your appointment, Jamie! Let us know how it goes!
