1.) i've never used a crib, so i don't know about that.

2.) i do before, because i have to get up and walk to the bathroom. and that always causes BH for me, this time around.

Looks like I'm definitely in the minority here, but I bought a crib set and I would characterize it as on the expensive side (from Pottery Barn Kids, so not at all a "need"). To me, it's all about what you want and what makes you happy. Most of what we buy has nothing to do with what the baby wants. All your baby wants is you and food (for my kids, my boobs :-)), they don't care about what they are wearing or covered up in or any of that stuff. That is all for the moms. But, I love decorating my house and my kids' rooms so that I feel like they have their own special part of the house. When I'm stressed, I go sit in the nursery and rock myself (seriously). I hang the quilt on the wall as decoration. That's where DD's is still. We've never used it as a blanket.

For Cribs I only spend around 50-100 dollars. To me it isn't work spending anything over. Both my two children where out of the crib by 10-15 months old to toddler beds.

When I drink a lot and need to go my stomach hardens up every time I need to go pee. It is painful so I don't get out much just stay at home because it is easier to know where the bathroom is.

I think buying a set is a waste personally. You aren't supposed to use a bumper after 3 months because it can help them climb out and you aren't supposed to before then because of SIDS.... just seems silly to me but lol we did buy one because I had a friend near here selling an entire set for $30 with mobile and all. I won't use the bumper except as a wall border probably because it's ridiculously cute. With my DD1 I just bought crib sheets and really soft blankets when she was old enough to have blankets in there with her. I personally would prefer a super soft comfy blanket over the stiff comforter any day

As far as BH if I don't pee right when I have to I get it REALLY bad. Which makes no sense! If you want me to pee I have to be able to walk!!!
