I went to the gym today and weighed myself while I was there. According to the scale, I've gained 10 lbs in 2 weeks!!! How is this possible? Has this happened to anyone else?

DH tried to make me feel better by saying it's probably water weight. I have been a little swollen so I'm hoping that's it! I just freaked out when I saw the scale. I got a bit of a hard time for 5 lbs in 2 weeks at my last appointment so I'm not looking forward to my next appt on Tues.

I feel you Donise! With my current weigh in I'm up 40!

I think its very hard to gain that kind of wait and it not be water weight. If you had a normal metabolism before its probably just the pregnancy

yes, good for you, still making it to the gym. i barely make it to the kitchen and bathroom.
could the gym scale be a little off from the doctor's scale?
i'm also up 45 lb. when i had my daughter, i was up by 65.

Gym sounds impressive but what I do there really isn't. I can barely walk above 2.5 mph on the treadmill and it gets uncomfortable as hell.

I would say water weight for sure. You start to swell up towards the end. I gained about 40 my last pregnancy I think it is pretty normal. Nothing to worry to much about unless your doctor is worried.

I went for a NST last Tuesday and when I went back on Thursday (yup 2 days later) and gained 4 pounds!!! (I think I ate TOO much at PF Changs the night before!) I got on the scale today and was up 1 pound from the Tuesday weight! I am up 14 pounds total...and 10+ is baby! This is the one thing that I am enjoying about this pregnancy right now!

The only reason I would want to step into a gym right now is to watch the hot guys work out...but my @55 would be watching from a bench off to the side! LOL!

I gained 13 in the last 2 weeks of my last pregnancy. I had pre-e, and it was all water. It was gone the hour after I delivered. I weighed myself when I went to the nursery to check on DD1. lol

Shannon, when you wrote @55 I thought you were saying you were 55 and I was like OMG how is that possible LOL then it took a while to understand. Preggo brain!

Haha Spyctre. I could totally see myself doing that if there's a scale near me after birth.

I see doc on tues. I hope she doesn't say anything!

its water!! Usually it means absolutely nothing but it can be a sign that you're swelling some, and your dr might want to keep an eye on it. WOW...i'm seriously impressed you're going to the gym. I can barely grocery shop! LOL

That's great that you can still go to the gym. I'm sure the weight gain is just water weight.
