Do you have one? Looking for one? Love them or hate them??

I did not like my ob when I was pregnant with William, when I was pregnant with Charlie I really liked him up until the day I went into labor.. He actually apologized to me for being rude the night I went into labor.. It sucks because I am put off going to his office again!

I don't currently have one since i'm planning to deliver at a birthing center. They have midwives who seem very nice so far!

I just found a new one 2 months ago because i was having some issues and needed a check up. We moved and I didn't feel like traveling all the way into the city (pittsburgh) to my gyno that delivered x. I LOVED THEM....I gave this new place a chance and i really liked them too and am going with them, and they are only 10 minutes from my house which is even better.

I'm kinda so so with my OB. The OB that I saw primarily left the practice toward the end of my last pregnancy. They have about 8 doctors and any of them can be the one you deliver. I ended with the doctor that I had met once and did not like out of all and the delivery had a lot of problems that I believe he could have prevented. He was very impatient (telling me to push when I wasn't having a contractions then tugging on the umbilical cord to get the placenta out) I will probably go back to that office this time but only because there is a good chance we will be moving in the next few months and I don't want the hassle of trying to find a new place only to move and have to find another place. I'll just make sure I avoid that Dr for my appointments.

I have a new OB since we recently moved, but I love everyone in the office so I am excited about it. I actually have an appointment already in 2 weeks bc I had one scheduled for my annual, which I will just be switching to my first prenatal appt!

I LOVED the midwife I was with during Nate's pregnancy and delivery, and they were awesome during my miscarriage, but we moved 5 hours away so seeing them is kinda out.

I started seeing a midwifery this fall for my yearly, they used to do homebirths, but have since teamed up with a doctors office, and the reviews I have read is they are more "medwives" now, but still better than any "Dr. Stabby" who would force me into a repeat c/s.

My OB's office with DD was okay, but I wanted a natural birth experience so with my pregnancy that ended up in m/c I started going to a birth center, but I didn't like how the handled things during and after the m/c and they're pretty far away, so I haven't decided what I am going to do this time. I hope the RE will have some recommendations after the U/S on Tuesday.

I love my OB, and I'm fine with most of the doctor's in her practice (since the one that delivers your baby is whoever happens to be on-call). There's only one doctor in the practice that I won't allow to touch me or my baby - should she be on call when I go into labor, I would rather have the baby at home - my husband can catch.
Breast feeding, formula feeding, baby wearing, stroller pushing, VBAC successful, video game playing, extended rear facing, extended harnessing, mac and cheese feeding, vaccine free, happily married, LDS mother to 3 beautiful children. And now you know everything about me.

I love my ob/gyn who delivered Bella. I like all the dr's except one (the only male) and I pray not to have him during delivery

I won't have a specific one. Where I go they are a medical group, you just meet all of the Dr.'s and whatever Dr. that is on call the day you go into labor that's the one who delivers. The Dr. who Delivered DD thought I never got to meet because he was from a different main office then where I was going, but I LOVED him. I should get to see him this time because his main office is where I live now.

I'm using the same OB/GYN I've been using since pregnant with my DD. She knows my extensive history and is super awesome so I feel confident using her. Ideally, I'd do a homebirth but my hubby isn't feeling it with my history.

I have to go to a new one, my first and preferred moved far away. Although the new one will be ok I think, a close friend and my hairdresser have both used him and raved about him.

I am with you Brandi, I would love a home birth but hubby thinks it ain't going to happen. He suspects I will be doing bedrest for the last trimester...I aim to prove him wrong lol.

I have to find a new one too. Hopefully the one I want to see will see me-- insurance gives me the choice of only TWO attending OBGYNS...otherwise it'd be residents, and that's not happening! My DH called her DH though, so I hopefully when she sees my name pop up, she'll accept me as a new patient!

My last experience was meh. I was okay with my OB, but she was never there. I always had to see her midwife, and I don't know that she knew much. She stripped my membranes without asking or even talking to me about it, then I ended up with an infection and fever and had to be induced because of it. My OB was on when I went in, but it was the midwife when I delievered. I tore, and DH is still mad about the size and type of suture, and skill used to sew me up.

When we moved here I started seeing an OB that I LOVED. Like, loved, loved. She had six kids of her own, really happy, talked ten million miles a hour-- just bouncy and spunky, but compassionate. I dealt with my ectopic with her, and she was so understanding, and didn't make me rush to make decisions, etc. Since our insurance changed, I can't see her anymore, and it really stinks!

My first two were born in a military hospital, so I saw a different doc every time. This time I will be at a civilian hospital. I have an appointment on Wed w/ my new OB and have heard he is excellent but we shall see!

Being military there are a handful of doctors. I delivered at this hospital 6 month ago so I have a good idea of what dr to see and ones to avoid if possible!

I am seeing a kinda new Ob. I have been to their office twice. The Ob that I met was really awesome, and made a great impression with me. I think they have 5 Obs in this office, so I am going to try to meet all of them before labor. I loved my old ob, but since we moved I can't see her anymore. I am just going to make it very clear to every Ob in this practice exactly what I want and what I don't want. If one of them irritates me I will tell them flat out. I don't handle doctors that are rude, or pushy when it comes to my medical care. I have always found it best to let them know when they irritate me because if I don't tell them they may not know that I am unhappy with them. When I was in preterm labor with my youngest they wouldn't let me out of bed at all. He was sideways, and they were afraid of cord prolapse. I told the Ob that I was not happy with that because I was having a hard time using a bedpan. He didn't realize that I was so uncomfortable, and once he realized that we came to a solution that was best for everyone. I ended up getting a catheter, and I felt so much better. If I hadn't said anything then he wouldn't have ever known that I was unhappy, uncomfortable, and just getting down right pissy. Lol.

Yes, it's rotating doctors which I'm not that fond of. They delivered my last baby, and I like the way things went, and how they respected my wishes.

I have a MW that I've been seeing since I was 18. I LOVE her! She does all my prenatal care. But, since I'm having a repeat section, I also have a Dr that's in the same practice as my MW. I also love my OB. She's wonderful!!! I feel so blessed to be in two good sets of hands during my pregnancy and delivery! My OB does the section, obviously, but my MW is always there to assist and help deliver my babies.
