So Today's 40 weeks. I'm having contractions but nothing painful or consistant. I had an ultrasound and check today. The ultrasound went really well. She said everything was measuring on track. He was sleeping and had his head down facing toward the left. He has lots of fluid and seems to be doing well. We got lots of cute pictures! The check went well. I'm only 1 cm still and about an inch thick. He said the only difference is that I'm "soft". He explained the cytotc thing to me a bit. They're only going to do one dose and if it doesn't work they'll send me home. Try again on Friday with one dose and if that doesn't work they'll do an actual induction on Monday the 30th. So, fingers crossed that it works the first time!! Jackson's already 8lbs 4 oz! A lot bigger than his sister was! That'll be a different experience, lol. I can't wait to have him here!! I just wanna snuggle him! =)
And here are some articles on the dangers of cytotec. I have heard all negative things about its use for inductions. It is a very controversial drug since it is not labelled or FDA approved for use with inductions. Just wanted you to be fully aware. I know my midwives use it too for inductions but I told them under no circumstances would I ever consent to it. I can find more if you'd like more info. If not, I hope all goes well so you can snuggle your sweet boy soon.
Thanks everyone for the positive posts! =) No promising contractions today so seems like I'll be needing the cytotec if I wanna get things moving. I'm thinking I'm gonna go for it..Atleast they only give one dose a day. And hopefully It'll get things moving. If not for Wed, then for the following Monday where they do the actual induction. I gotta get past the evil "one centimeter" lol
