We've had the worst experiences at bathtime. Alexander would scream bloody murder as soon as his butt hit the water & wouldn't stop until he was wrapped in his towel...until tonight.
I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner: DF brought him to me while I was in the tub & I held him cradled to me while I bathed him. Not a whimper! He smiled a couple times! And, on top of the happy baby thing, I felt more secure bathing him with me, like I had a better grip on a soapy baby.

I feel like a million bucks right now because it seems like bathtime trauma may well be over!

That is great! Carson is oppisite. He is good in the bath but the second you take him out he screams and he hates being lotioned up its the weirdest thing.

Aiden is the exact same! He'll scream and scream until he's wrapped in a towel, has his paci and is being cuddled. Maybe I should try this... (as soon as I'm able to take a bath again )

Ah. What special times!! I love bath time with baby. I'm glad you found something that works for both of you. That's always a huge relief.

I love cuddling with a baby fresh out of the bath. They smell so clean and it's almost like they are grateful that you rescued them from that big, bad baby tub.

Natalie loves the bath! We sit her in a reclining bath chair in the kitchen sink and pour water over her. I don't use soap every day since both Max and I have eczema, but she loves the water and it is her calmest awake time of day.
