I'm glad I'm not the only one.. I think I do something wrong. Everyone tells me to put him down so he doesnt get used to sleeping on me. How do you wear a baby at night? Swaddle doesnot work for him because of the reflux. He seems to gag worse when I swaddle him. I do a loose swaddle but he doesnt wake because he is jerking and scaring himself he just wants to be held and feel bodyheat.

the way i see it is a baby is gonna wanna be held all the time whether you hold them or not. some babies are ok with the swing or bouncy seat, and some just arent. matt loves to be held, but we are slowly trying to get him to like other things lol. i bought a floor swing (didnt have room for a full sized one) and i put him in it and try to sit and talk to him, or i have one of the kids talk to him. i cant hold him all day and try to do other things, and my sling doesnt fit :/

maybe try doing a tight swaddle and propping him on his side to sleep? i used to do that with the other 2. i would roll up a couple recieving blankets and put one in the front of them from the waist down, and one in the back.

The swing works for me during the day, but at night I put him in his co-sleeper and lay with him for about a half hour singing "You Are My Sunshine". It puts him to sleep for the night. Then I put him in his pac n play or his infant seat. He won't sleep in his bassinet no matter how tired he is, LOL. So maybe just cuddle him a bit and sing to him.

Killian sleeps in bed with us most of the night. I thought he hated the bedside co-sleeper, but no, he will sleep there during the day- just not at night...lol

Yep. And I even do some baby wearing and swaddling and she can't be fooled! I recently discovered that I can put her carseat into the bassinet and rock it back and forth (while she's swaddled) and just talk to her real quietly and she'll mellow out finally. Sheesh! Takes some time, but I get things done around here eventually, lol.
