Has anyone on here had Lasik eye surgery? I have a consult tomorrow for it and I am hoping that if I am a candidate, that I can get it done next week before I have to go back to work. My eyes are so bad. I can't even see the big E.

My good friend had it done last year and she is soooo happy! She is the most anxious person I know. They have to knock her out for a teeth cleaning. I think she was pretty much blind as a bat before hand and now she has better than 20/20 vision. I haven't had it, but I know she would recommend it to everyone.
Pregnancy can change your vision and usually it's recommended to wait a few months after giving birth before making any changes to a prescription. I don't know if that would effect your lasik, but it might. You may want to ask about that when you go in.
Popping in from Feb DDC...I had it done 7 years ago and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I was legally blind before, couldn't even find my glasses if I took my contacts out. Now I'm 20/20. Recovery was a breeze, just came home as slept the rest of the day. I didn't even have dry eyes afterwards like a lot of people do. It was the most amazing feeling to be able to see literally as soon as it was done. And with the price of contacts and glasses, the surgery will pay for itself in just a few years. Go for it!
Yay! My appointment went great. I am a perfect candidate for the procedure! Actually, my eyes have not changed much at all since I was there 6 years ago. I have had my eyes checked since then, but this practice is in my old college town, so I had not been there in year. The best news is that he can do it on Monday while I am still on maternity leave! Yay!
Oh, and if I have any changes to my eyes over the next year or if I am not 20/20 after the procedure, he will do them (or the needed eye) again for free.
